One course I have really enjoyed this semester is Biology 104. It is clear that my professor in this class is very knowledgable and cares a lot about the subject which has made it easier to stay engaged and interested in the material myself. One learning objective in this course is, “Demonstrate an understanding of personal responsibility and ethical themes in the context of the natural sciences, including professional conduct in the laboratory, environmental issues, and academic work.” I believe I have made a lot of progress to this goal, for I have strongly participated in the laboratory and I have been able to connect ideas and activities in the labs to the outside world. I also believe I have progressed in my academic work as well because I have been very happy with my exam grades and they have continuously improved. One reason why I enjoy this course so much is that I find it to be relatable to my everyday life. This makes it much easier to understand, as I am able to connect almost everything we learn to my own life in some way.
